Rottenberg, Configuration (1964)
Description
This is an abstracted still life oil on canvas from 1964. It is large, colorful, impactful and exceptionally well done. And that, unfortunately, is all we know. We normally do not purchase works by artists we know nothing about, but we could not resist this one. The colors and composition are just so wonderful. He -- or she -- was very talented and, judging by the quality of the frame (from the Hrefna Jondottir Gallery in Lambertville, NJ), it was highly prized by its previous owner.

- Slight craquelure, but stable and in overall good condition for its age.
